About Us
“Dancing with the Doctors” is a premier Rhode Island fundraising event that combines the fun and excitement of dancing to raise money for local, non-profit organizations. The event is part of the 501C3 non-profit organization Dancing For A Cause, which pairs local doctors with professional dance instructors. Together, these partners practice for twelve weeks to choreograph an electrifying ballroom dance routine. This year, the culmination of their work will be showcased on April 25, 2020, when they take to the stage and perform their routine in front of three judges and a lively crowd at the Dancing with the Doctor’s Gala! The combined scores of the judges and crowd will determine who gets to take home the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy at the end of the night!
Dancing with the Doctors is a unique fundraiser, as there are many opportunities to participate, sponsor or donate money to the chosen charity through the event. While doctors raise money as participants, anyone can be an event and/or table sponsor, a doctor sponsor, buy votes for their favorite doctor, donate prizes for the Gala raffle, or attend the Gala to support the doctors and charity! Net proceeds from this event go directly to a local, non-profit organization that makes outstanding contributions to the citizens of Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts.

Having over 40 years of combined dance experience, both John and Dee believe that learning how to dance should be fun and is a rewarding activity that has lifelong mental and physical health benefits!
